OTM offers a seminar class, led by the New Ventures team, that provides technically-trained students with a comprehensive introduction to the principles and practices of entrepreneurship within the biotechnology sector. Designed for individuals with a background in science, engineering, or other technical fields, the course bridges the gap between technical expertise and entrepreneurial knowledge. Students will explore the process of starting and growing a biotech company, including identifying commercial opportunities, developing business models, and navigating regulatory landscapes.

- Assess the commercial potential of scientific research and technology, and position innovations for market success.
- Develop skills to effectively communicate scientific and technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and compelling way.
- Apply course concepts in practical settings and gain insights from experienced professionals in the biotech industry.
Prerequisites and/or Corequisites
Students should have received a doctoral degree in a technical area (science or engineering).
