The OTM Office Hours series is back on June 8 with “Entrepreneurship and the LGBTQ+ Community”. The seminar will include a panel discussion touching on the unique challenges faced by LGBTQ+ entrepreneurs in the areas of accessing capital, representation and intersectionality in the entrepreneurial ecosystem, and the resources available to help LGBTQ+ plus entrepreneurs and allies. And once we wrap, head to Venture Café in the same building!

John Kuelper: John Kuelper is Senior Managing Director and Head of Healthcare Technology at Ascension Ventures (AV), a $1.1 billion strategic venture capital firm which invests on behalf of a consortium of thirteen non-profit health systems. John is Founder and Managing Partner of Qualia Holdings LLC, a platform for enterprise deep tech ventures. He has advised or worked for several investment firms, life sciences companies, and non-profits.
John began his career as a medical researcher studying computational neuroscience and medical robotics and has over fifteen years of experience as a software developer with an emphasis on knowledge graphs and information theory. John earned JD and MBA degrees from the Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and Kellogg School of Management, graduating with honors. He earned a BA in cognitive neuroscience from Washington University in St. Louis, graduating magna cum laude. In 2014 he was elected to the Kauffman Fellows Society.
Tom Krenning: As a business and personal coach and freelance analyst with Krenning Consulting, Thomas Krenning cares about the holistic success of early stage and academic start-up founders. Krenning has helped to start multiple companies and coached hundreds of faculty at Washington University as Assistant Director of the LEAP Gap Fund and as a consultant for BioGenerator. Today, Krenning runs the Bio Track at the SQ1 Bootcamp and owns a full-time coaching business focused not only on developing business concepts, but teaching clients how to find the right leverage points to move any idea forward whether it’s in the lab, at home, or in a start-up
