For Our Community

While the core of our technology transfer mission is to benefit society at large, we place a strong emphasis on the role we can play in the local community. With our many assets at Washington University, we understand that we can help shape the destiny of St. Louis and the surrounding communities.

Our primary task is to convert University inventions into commercial assets. While this often involves license agreements with large businesses operating globally, we increasingly see opportunities to work with experts in the St. Louis community to build Missouri-based and Illinois-based companies.
